Veterans Advising Veterans, LLC is a veteran disability law firm that specializes in helping veterans and their spouses obtain financial assistance through VA disability compensation. Chanel R. Davenport

Founder/Attorney

Chanel is a United States Air Force veteran, and a current military spouse. She was an enlisted aviator operating as a C-17A Airdrop Instructor Loadmaster, where she completed multiple deployments, and over 40 airdrop resupplies to troops in combat. Post service, Chanel spent almost 6 years working for the Department of Veterans Affairs, in both the regular claims and the appeals section, where she rated veteran disability cases. Seeing how complex and challenging the process can be motivated her to go to law school to be able to assist and impact fellow veterans’ lives. She is an active member in multiple veteran organizations and is passionate about advocating for veterans of all walks of life. Chanel is an Accredited Attorney with the U.S. Dept. of Veterans Affairs and is an admitted attorney to practice before the Court of Appeals for Veteran’s Claims.

Jeremy Thompson

Attorney

Jeremy is a United States Army veteran. He was an enlisted Human Intelligence Collector, serving as a Mobile Interrogation Team Sergeant and a HUMINT Collection Team Leader on subsequent deployments in Operation Iraqi Freedom. Upon leaving the Army, Jeremy continued working for the Army by developing and conducting intelligence training for soldiers preparing to deploy to Iraq and Afghanistan. His passion for supporting servicemembers and fellow veterans led him to the University of Arizona, where he served as the Student Director of the Veterans’ Education and Transition Services office as he attended college. He then had the pleasure of serving as the Military and Veterans Services Representative for two U.S. Senators for Arizona. With a desire to continue to be of service, he attended law school, participating in the Veterans' Advocacy Law Clinic by defending veterans accused of misdemeanor crimes in a veterans court and by drafting court filings with the Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims. Jeremy is a barred attorney in Arizona and New Mexico, an Accredited Attorney with the U.S. Dept. of Veterans Affairs and an admitted attorney to practice before the Court of Appeals for Veteran’s Claims.

Rhoda Lelevier

Sr. Paralegal

Rhoda has over 25 years of experience in the legal field and brings extensive knowledge and expertise to her role, supporting and advocating for veteran benefits. Her passion and dedication to assisting veterans stems from her personal connection to the military. As a daughter, spouse, sister and mother of veterans, she has a deep understanding for the challenges faced by those who have served in the armed forces.

Crystal Rook

Case Manager

Crystal is a United States Navy veteran.  She was an enlisted cryptologic technician serving in Guam, Maryland, Virginia, and onboard the USS George Washington (CVN 73). Post service, Crystal spent almost a year in Iraq as a facility security officer, responsible for the management of temporary sensitive compartmented information facilities (TSCIF) throughout the country as well as personnel security. Upon her return, she worked as facility security officer managing the personnel security for linguists deploying to the Middle East, she spent approximately 6 years working for the Department of Veterans Affairs, where she developed and rated veteran disability cases with specialization in military sexual trauma cases, and she has worked with Disabled American Veterans (DAV) as a Transitional Service Officer assisting service members with their VA benefits as they transitioned out of the military. With her understanding of the law, she wanted  to make a larger impact for her fellow veterans and joined the private sector. 

Phuong “Sho” Tran

Legal Assistant

Sho is a United States Marine Corps veteran, and recently retired from 20 years of service.  He served as an enlisted Administrative Specialist operating as a Division Adjutant and Battalion Administrative Chief, where he completed multiple deployments, and served as Commanding General Inspector for 1st Marine Division.  Post service he is currently working as the legal assistant for Veterans Advising Veterans.
